When it comes to the design, the weapon is perfect for entry-level players. It’s not too aggressive, and there are official Armalite inscriptions to ramp up the realism. Furthermore, the profile is smooth, ensuring better hand placement on the handguard.

A large number of the components are made of metal (e.g., the barrel, trigger, selector, magazine release), with some polymer parts to balance the weight. Due to its high metal presence, the weapon is more robust than most other AEG items on the market. It can endure powerful impact, scratching, and drops from considerable heights without experiencing reduced performance or material damage. As a result, you can maneuver through the battlefield without worrying about chips or bumps.

Another great thing about this gun’s metal construction is the realistic design. It weighs more than many other similar models (5.1 pounds), but the extra weight mimics the real-life firearm. Plus, the manufacturer balanced the design with polymer to ensure the product doesn’t overburden you, making the gun both sturdy and easy to wield.

Even though this is a Sportline rifle, it comes with several premium features. For instance, you get a built-in MOSFET system. The primary benefit of this feature is robust protection for your trigger switch. You can fire your Armalite longer without any of its components breaking down.

Using your MOSFET also means you won’t have to disassemble the rifle and clean it very often. As the system reduces electrical arcs and carbon accumulation on trigger points, you won’t have to replace your trigger assembly frequently, either.

Furthermore, you get optimal battery protection. MOSFET can track the amount of power left in your battery and can alert you or shut down the system if it’s about to run out. By keeping the battery from draining completely, MOSFET extends its lifespan.

The gun boasts as many as five different firing modes. In addition to safety, the list includes semi-automatic, fully automatic, 3-burst, and 5-burst.

All of which helps you excel in multiple shooting scenarios. For instance, if you want a predetermined number of rounds, the 3 or 5-round burst modes should work like a charm. On the other hand, the fully automatic function will let you take down numerous enemies in quick succession.

To the front of the gun lies the 10-inch M-LOK 10 system compatible with a wide range of tactical accessories. Some of the items you can install on this component include optics, lights, lasers, foregrips, rail panels, night vision, and iron sights. Consequently, you can significantly improve your performance on the battlefield and nail your targets with pinpoint accuracy.

Speaking of accuracy, the Armalite M15 boasts front and rear flip-up sights. The items are made of iron, increasing durability even further.

Additionally, you shouldn’t have any issues holding the gun comfortably. The M-LOK system ensures a more ergonomic fit, enabling you to wield the rifle effortlessly. However, try not to go overboard with accessories since too many can hinder your grip.

The rear section of the product contains an adjustable stock. As the name suggests, you can adjust the component and accommodate your specific height and size.

Moreover, this feature makes the AEG extremely versatile. Retracted, the M15 is a formidable asset in close-quarter combat. Extended, the stock provides much-needed stability when shooting at long-distance targets, enhancing accuracy. Combined with an improved rifle grip, the weapon shouldn’t move in your hands.

The middle portion of the weapon is home to an adjustable hop-up. The element has become a must-have for Airsoft AEG, putting backspin on your BBs to make them fly much further. Hence, your rounds won’t drop as quickly, as the air pressure on top of them is reduced.

There’s also a 6.03-millimeter tight-bore barrel. The item works great if you want to increase range, but it’s not ideal for long-range combat. As the ball bearings travel down the barrel, there’s less space between them and the bore. Thus, the rounds bounce around, which can dramatically reduce your accuracy.

Some components of the M15 Defense are ambidextrous, such as the charging handle. Both left-handed and right-handed players can use the gun efficiently and access all crucial features without a hitch.

As for the magazine, you get a model that can store 300 rounds. The number is decent, but it’s outperformed by many entries from the AEG series.

Internally, the AEG comes with a nine-millimeter gearbox and quick-change spring system. These are outstanding for beginners, allowing them to easily swap springs when engaged in close-quarter combat. Furthermore, the components don’t deliver daunting firepower (310 – 354 FPS with 0.20g BBs). This enables novice users to get used to the gun more easily and find their feet on the battlefield.

The interior of the weapon also holds an anodized cylinder that reduces friction. Less friction reduces the amount of BB material residue in your shooting equipment. This is extremely important because it minimizes the risk of jamming and damaging your Armalite M15. You get a ported piston, too, that increases compression, which may increase your FPS in some cases.

In terms of the batteries, the manufacturer recommends standard solutions. Some of your options include a 9.6V 1600 or 7.4V LiPo stick-style or Nunchuck batteries.

Advantages & Pros

One of the most significant benefits of the M15 is the combination of sturdiness and the relatively lightweight feel. By mixing metal and polymer, the manufacturer has delivered a versatile piece that can take a beating without wearing you down. Such a convenient design can help you prevail since you won’t have to worry about fatigue.

On top of that, you get ample customization options due to the 10-inch M-LOK system. The attachment supports scopes, sights, night vision, and a bunch of other nifty items that can make your rifle even more formidable. Coupled with high-quality iron sights, you’ll be able to take down your opponents with pinpoint accuracy.

The adjustable stock also facilitates the AEG’s versatility. The choice between the retracted and extended version gives you a lot of freedom and the ability to adapt to different skirmishes.

Another admirable quality of the rifle is the five shooting modes. You rarely see more than three regimes in today’s AEGs, but ARMALITE delivered five. Hence, you can experiment with your battle tactics and determine which one yields the best results.

Lastly, the integrated MOSFET system keeps your trigger responses unscathed to keep the component in good condition. It also shields your battery by safeguarding against depletion.

Disadvantages & Cons

Even though the M15 has a host of high-quality components and functions, most of them are basic and effective at the beginner level.

The tight-bore barrel that can hinder your accuracy, and may increase your FPS, but bouncing BBs tend not to reach the desired destination.

Furthermore, the iron sights are sturdier than polymer products, but they’re also susceptible to corrosion.

Word on the Field

Most users find the gun satisfying to shoot and extremely easy to use. It doesn’t require any complex modifications, and installing any aftermarket items isn’t too demanding. In addition, many players like the grip with enhanced texture due to greater stability.

Only a handful of issues have been reported, one of which has to do with the magazine. Namely, some products may not be a tight fit, making the magazine move around once equipped. This problem may not interfere with your performance, but it can be annoying.

Conclusion

The Armalite M15 Defense rifle is a great all-around AEG. It won’t let you down if you’re looking for an entry-level weapon with reliable shooting mechanism protection and first-rate build quality. But if you want a gun with a huge amount of firepower and aggressive design, this product may not meet your needs.

The pistol bears a striking resemblance to the Luger platform, but most of its features emulate other entries from the G-series. It uses the WE-tech Series lower frame, modified at the top. As a result, there shouldn’t be any grip issues with the weapon, and you should be able to hold it comfortably.

As for the build quality, the manufacturer delivered a solid solution. The upper one-piece slide is made of metal, which is a massive upgrade over some previous plastic products. This feature makes the gun much sturdier and capable of withstanding significant impact.

There are also multiple colors available. The list includes black, silver, gold, purple, and blue. With such a wide variety, you can make sure your gun stands out in your Airsoft courses.

The sights are among the most admirable qualities of the pistol. You get a fiber-optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight to maximize your chances of nailing your targets. The green dot is easy to find and is generally an enormous boon on the battlefield.

Most of the item’s customizability comes from the detachable Picatinny rails. The 20-millimeter sections are perfect for mounting optics and other enhancements that can help improve your performance. There’s also the threaded mounted barrel compatible with several suppressors and compensators, adding to the weapons’ versatility.

In terms of the blowback system, you get one of the most efficient solutions on the market. When shooting the weapon, only the bolt moves and not the entire upper frame. Consequently, you can save some gas otherwise consumed by propelling the top section of the gun.

The pistol includes threads you can check out by unscrewing the front cap. You’ll see an orange tip attached to the adapter, but the component is slightly crooked. In some cases, you may want to remove the item and use a new one.

On top of that, the inner barrel is exposed, and there’s no outer barrel to shield the surface from rocks or other objects.

The lower frame boasts several noteworthy features, too. For instance, there’s a flat G-series trigger with a red safety. The style is aggressive, but the color of the safety may not complement the rest of the weapon.

When it comes to the magazine, the model is the same as in other G-series pistols. However, the red gasket is slightly different, delivering gas in a somewhat different manner. You can fit 25 rounds in the magazine, and the weapon is compatible with other G-series items, as well as WE’s drum magazines.

The WE-tech comes with another security feature. In addition to the red trigger safety, there’s also a manual safety.

Once you disassembled the pistol, you’ll see that the lower frame is slightly modified. Still, it retains most of the items associated with WE-Tech G-series entries, such as the hammer housing, trigger assembly, and trigger springs. The most significant benefit of this is that the model is compatible with a huge number of aftermarket parts.

To the middle of the gun lies the adjustable hop-up. You can use the component to prevent your rounds from descending too fast and failing to reach the target. However, you can’t modify the item with your hands – you’ll need to use a flat-head screwdriver.

Furthermore, activating and deactivating the hop-up can’t be done as expected. In particular, you’ll need to loosen the set screw to engage it and tighten the screw to disengage it. The mechanism is backward, and many people find it annoying.

Like the AAP-01 pistol, the gun can be used as a fully automatic weapon. The switch that activates this mode can be found in the rear portion of the model. You only need to pull the bolt back to access the fire selector.

While some components can be replaced with items from other manufacturers, you shouldn’t do this with the blowback housing. They most likely won’t work, preventing you from firing your gun.

Disassembling the pistol and servicing it is pretty straightforward. You need only remove the bolt by pressing the button in the rear section and pushing the needle in the front using the pin. As a consequence, you can clean the product, change parts, and adjust the hop-up without too much hassle.

Finally, the pistol performs decently in various conditions. Using 0.20g ball bearings, it delivers up to 320 FPS in semi-auto. The firing rate is a bit lower in full-auto, offering between 270 and 290 FPS.

Advantages & Pros

One of the biggest advantages of the We-Tech pistol is its versatility. Due to the ability to switch from semi-auto to full-auto mode, you can accommodate various shooting scenarios. If you’re engaged in close-quarter combat, using the full-auto rate will let you take down more enemies without worrying about accuracy. On the other hand, semi-auto is perfect for more distant targets.

Another great thing about the weapon is the accuracy enhancements. The green dot provided by the front fiber optic sight lets you track down your opponents easily and stay on them until they’re no longer a threat. Accompanied by the convenient rear sight, it does most of the aiming for you.

Moreover, the gun is a relatively light weapon, with just 1.5 pounds without the magazine. Therefore, it adheres to the principles of Airsoft pistol design since it doesn’t overburden you. As a result, you can make your way through the battlefield and scale obstacles without any issues.

Plus, you’ll hardly find a simpler Airsoft handgun maintenance-wise. You need only loosen the four screws in the middle section of the weapon, allowing you to access the hop-up unit and inner barrel bucking. Thus, if you need to clean or lubricate the components, you can do it in just a few seconds.

Lastly, the weapon’s terrific magazine support lets you switch to a new model without worrying about compatibility issues. For example, you can install a KJW, Tokyo Marui, or other G-series magazines, and your performance shouldn’t suffer. Still, avoid using a TM-style magazine as the gasket shape may allow some air to escape.

Disadvantages & Cons

The biggest problem with the WE-Tech Galaxy is the hop-up. Although the component is adjustable, modifying the piece isn’t as easy as with some previous models. Hence, you may need a lot of time to get used to the reverse mechanism, which can negatively affect your performance.

In addition, the hop-up could adjust itself as you begin to shoot. Your rounds might start overhopping, which in turn leads to missing your targets. To solve the issue, you may want to consider applying some super glue to the hop-up to prevent it from moving.

Another potential issue is the exposed inner barrel. Without an outer barrel shielding the component, your weapon is exposed to debris, compromising both the interior and the exterior. Even though the overall build quality is terrific, this flaw makes the WE-Tech susceptible to minor damage.

Word on the Field

Most users are pleased with the item despite some issues that may interfere with the gun’s performance (e.g., the hop-up). Many people report consistent accuracy, a reliable shooting mechanism, and praise the pistol for its build quality.

Another reason why the gun’s popularity is soaring is the appealing design. Airsoft aficionados appreciate the Luger style and a wide array of available colors.

Conclusion

Overall, purchasing the WE-Tech Galaxy might be one of the wisest additions t o your Airsoft collection. Multiple fire modes mean the gun can be used either as a primary weapon or a sidearm. Whether you’re shooting in full or semi-auto, you can expect outstanding performance if you can overcome the adjustable hop-up problem. Considering the build quality, lightweight design, and absolute precision, the pistol can be a formidable asset in your skirmishes.

The flip-up sights contribute to the M70’s accuracy, and the manufacturer offers a flash hider to limit aftershot flashes.

LCT delivered a great-looking, intimidating weapon with the AK-47 M70. There are many elements typical of the M70 design, such as the prominent three handguard holes and the flip-up sight in the gas block compartment. You also get reinforced sections under the charging handle.

As for the materials, the manufacturers opted for mostly steel. This makes the item very robust, even though some components feature a weaker build. Namely, the grip is made of plastic, while certain sections contain cast steel.

The lower and upper handguards are constructed of genuine wood, which may look a bit shabby at first glance. Nonetheless, LCT did a great job replicating the appearance of the real M70, providing authenticity to your Airsoft skirmishes.

You can take off the stain fairly easily, which is a handy addition if you want the used look after a couple of matches. But if you want to preserve the original appearance, you’re better off without removing the component.

M70’s build quality is reminiscent of some older AEG models, most notably the OEM parts LCT produced for Inokatsu. The metal receiver feels sturdier than those used for the AK-100 series. The paint is different, and the element is slightly thicker.

Additionally, you get one of the finest under-folding stocks on the market. While you do need to put some extra effort into folding it and flipping the brace into the right position, the component is as strong as it gets. As a result, it can withstand heavy impact and come out unscathed.

Sheet steel is the material used for the flip-up rifle grenade sight. You can maneuver the component easily, and you can mount a grenade adapter or flash hider on the 14-mm thread. Of course, the adapter serves as decoration and complements the gun’s intimidating design. The mount also lets you install a silencer for a stealth Airsoft operation.

To the left sits a sling attachment, which isn’t a common position for the element. They typically lie beside your handguard retainer. Still, it’s a nice addition since it lets you carry the M70 conveniently and fire more accurately by bracing and stabilizing the gun.

The adjustable hop-up is another nifty feature of the AEG rifle. It’s placed under your charging handle and allows for simple modifications.

Finally, the gearbox is a version three item. In the main, it features high-quality construction. The only downside is the polycarbonate sling, which may not be as strong as some players like it.

In addition to a durable build, the M70 has a lot more to offer. The version three gearbox features an upgraded design to the AK-100 series. The shell material is better, and the gearbox functions a lot smoother. The cylinder compression is perfect, and all the gears have been shimmed properly.

What is more, the magazine is a tight fit, meaning that it doesn’t wobble around the way they generally do on AKs. You can also get some aftermarket magazines and make them suit the compartment perfectly with some minor adjustments. Plus, you can fit as many as 600 rounds in this high-capacity model, providing you with plenty of firepower before you have to reload.

Lastly, the adjustable hop-up is a welcome addition, too. It allows you to modify the trajectory of your BBs, preventing them from dropping too quickly. Thus, you can take down targets from a longer distance.

Disadvantages & Cons

One of the biggest issues with the AK-47 M70 is the tight battery space. The rifle is best suited for older 2/3A cells, which is why you’ll have a hard time getting the right-sized LiPo battery. Furthermore, if you want to use LiFe batteries, you’ll need to do some sanding on the receiver and rear sight block. This can turn into a lengthy job and require heavy-duty tools.

Another problem is the inadequate compatibility with AK-47 accessories. Due to the longer lower and upper handguard, gas tube, shorter receiver cover, and raised front sight, the weapon can’t use traditional aftermarket items. There’s no side rail either, lowering the model’s customizability options even further.

While having a weapon with no modifications works for some people, many Airsoft users will find the lack of accessory options disappointing. If you’re looking for an AEG rifle that can fit a scope, you’re better off with a different AK variant.

Even though most of the interior is solid, there are some weak points. The spring guide, piston, air-seal nozzle, and tappet plate are all made of polycarbonate. While this isn’t too bad, metal would have been a much better option due to its stronger properties.

Word on the Field

Most people praise the gun for its high-quality components and authentic look. The folding stock is the highlight for many users because it’s highly durable and adds a lot of versatility to the AEG rifle. The receiver and the magazine are also outstanding models. Moreover, components like the grenade sight and three handguard holes make the weapon more realistic, emulating the design of the real firearm.

Many shooters, however, have found it hard to get used to the folding stock. Due to the exceptional sturdiness, you may find it difficult to move it up and down early on. But over time, the component won’t be as stiff, and you’ll appreciate that you don’t have to remove the sling mount to fold it. Fully extended, it rests on your shoulder perfectly and stabilizes your rifle to make your shooting more accurate.

Also, bear in mind that it’s usually the intermediate and veteran players who recommend the gun. As a consequence, it may not give you a seamless transition into the world of Airsoft if you’re a newcomer to the game.

Conclusion

Overall, if you’re looking for a close replica of the legendary AK-47, the M70 AEG is a superb pick. The metal components protect the gun from impact and drops, whereas the real wood provides the rifle with extra realism. The shooting mechanic is also remarkable, owing to the folding stock and sling mount that allow you to brace the gun while firing your rounds. The internal parts are nicely constructed, too, with some minor issues that shouldn’t reflect on your performance too much.

The price may be a bit high, but it’s not entirely unjustified. For those who want to bring an AK-47 carbon copy to their Airsoft battlefield, it doesn’t get much better than the M70.

The Lancer Tactical LT-19B Gen 2 looks to be one of the top performers for beginners, but still has some room for improvement.

Let’s start with the external parts. They look and feel much better, and the metal outer barrel, magazine, trigger guard, sling adapter point and charging handle make for a much sturdier and durable model. However, the rest of the outside pieces are all made of plastic, which slightly lowers the gun’s overall build quality. Do note that the polymer used is of a decent standard and allows the gun to stay just under 4.5lbs in weight, making it more suitable for younger users.

The rail design on the barrel is interesting. With two six-rib side rails and a bottom 10-rib rail all adjustable and removable, you have a decent degree of customization. The top Picatinny rail also allows for all sorts of attachments if you want to outfit your gun to your desires. However, most of the keymod design on the outer barrel is purely cosmetic. You’re only able to use the rails on the sides and the bottom to adjust the Picatinny rails and use other attachments. While this might not be a huge sore point for a beginner, it’s something to keep in mind when discussing further customization options.

The detachable polymer stock has both good and bad points. The stock itself is easily opened to fit the factory-issues 9.6 nunchuck-style batteries. However, we’ve noticed that the stock can fall out relatively easily while adjusting its length. You also might need to tighten it up a bit, as it feels slightly flimsy. Make sure you do your setup before the fight, or you might find yourself with a deconstructed carbine in the middle of the field.

The gun does come with built-in sights. However, these are of relatively low quality. While they can flip up and down, they tend to be really stiff and resist a lot, so it will feel like you might break them. You’re best off just flipping the sights up and leaving them there to prevent damage by forcing them to flip.

The internals of the gun, on the other hand, are quite solid. The TL-19B Gen 2 features impressive 8mm bushings, which means the gun’s inner mechanism is more heavily reinforced compared to the standard 6mm bushings. In fact, most guns don’t go beyond 9mm bushings, so a beginner rifle with 8mm is a great deal. The bushings will make sure you get plenty of playtime with this model.

The inner barrel is 6.03mm wide, which is a somewhat dangerous choice. Higher quality .2g BBs are 5.95mm in diameter, which allows for space to move and prevents jams, but worse BBs might cause your gun to fail more easily. You should definitely use better BBs when handling this gun, but the ones that come with the rifle itself will do for a start.

The performance of the rifle could be accurately described as zippy. With the standard 9.6 nunchuck batteries and .2g BBs, it reaches around 380 FPS and has a fire rate of around 12 rounds per second. You can do some modifications on the metal box inside the gun itself to change these numbers according to your needs. In fact, the gun makes it fairly easy to do that, as you don’t have to open the metal box itself. However, the numbers out-of-the-box allow the gun to be safely used on the open field, which has a 400 FPS maximum. If you overload the gun with 11.1 batteries, you can get around 17 RPS with similar FPS performance, allowing for a much effective airsoft weapon.

Advantages & Pros

The LT19-B comes with a solid, robust, and sturdy build that’s great for a beginner airsoft user. While the external build might look disappointing being mostly polymer, this helps the gun be comparatively light. With the relatively narrow outer barrel, this makes the LT-19B Gen 2 a good first choice for a younger user who might have troubles with a heavier or bulkier rifle.

The performance of the rifle out of the box is great. I’ve reached Playworthy FPS and fire rates without needing to do any modifications, and you can amp up your experience with more powerful batteries. The gun’s range is outstanding – you can hit a target at over 200 feet with a slight hop-up adjustment.

I’m impressed by Lancer Tactical’s choice to use 8mm bushings on a beginner rifle, as that further adds to the internal build quality and reliability.

Overall, this is a solid gun to start with when you want to move on an open field, but you can adjust the gearbox to tune down the FPS to use it in a CQB. The packaging and value you get out of this rifle are noteworthy at such a relatively low price.

Disadvantages & Cons

Unfortunately, it doesn’t come without faults.

The most unfortunate aspects of the rifle have to be its externals. The adjustable stock is one of the sore points. While it does open and close relatively quickly and securely, I’ve noticed that it’s somewhat wobbly and needs to be tightened down. Also, if you adjust the scope and go too far, you might remove it altogether, as the gun doesn’t seem to have a proper stopper to prevent accidents. The stock will probably hang on by the batteries if they’re inside, but you still don’t want to try adjusting the rifle in the middle of combat.

The sights are also a bit disappointing. Although they do work, and you get sights with the rifle included in the price, they feel quite stiff. You need to pry them to flip up the aperture, and you’re just better off leaving the sights up and not risk any further damage.

Additionally, the magazine sometimes doesn’t fall off, so you need to remove it out of the gun manually to change it, if that might improve over time with wear.

Word on the Field

Most players seem to like the performance and affordability of this airsoft weapon. Although it’s not perfect, the LT-19B Gen 2 Carbine seems to have a good reputation for reliability and out-of-the-box value as a solid open-field choice for a beginner.

Conclusion

The Lancer Tactical M4 LT-19B Gen 2 Carbine is a terrific first choice for a younger airsoft enthusiast looking to get an affordable, reliable weapon. With its solid performance, customization, and robust internal build, the LT-19B should serve you well.

I’m excited to bring you a review of this marvelous gun. The CXP-MARS carbine from ICS is one of the highest-quality rifles I’ve reviewed so far. The metal externals give this gun some real weight, reminiscent of real-life rifles compared to the usual polymer airsoft builds. The high-quality polymer stock and grip provide good weight balancing and an excellent hand feel while holding and aiming the rifle.

The CNC treated externals of the gun feature ICS’s markings prominently, but not so much that it becomes overbearing. The gun comes in a two-tone tan and black mix, but is also available in fully black or tan options as well, so you can choose the look of the gun you prefer. The gun’s stock is somewhat slimmer than some similar rifles, which also gives it one of the more obvious downsides, as it can only fit lipo batteries comfortably.

The gun comes with an extended Picatinny rail on the top, shorter Pic rails on the sides and front of the barrel, and also a proper keymod design running alongside the barrel. Altogether, the rails allow you to fit many different types of attachments to customize your gun’s appearance and functionality. The stock flip-up iron sights on the front and rear of the barrel can be detached if you prefer a better scope to use on the open field. But they serve the basic function well if you want to leave them as is. There are no rails on the bottom of the barrel, which can impede customization somewhat, but doesn’t factor greatly into the overall review.

The internals of the rifle are altogether great. The fully upgradable version two gearbox is fairly easy to open up and maintain, and the inner M120 spring is of decent quality that you can replace at your whim. But the stock ones will do the trick if you’re looking for a great out of the box experience.

The stock magazine comes with 300 round capacity and has a functional capacity window, so you can check on your remaining ammo quite quickly without the need to shake or remove the magazine beforehand. All of which allows for smoother gameplay. The magazine release is also recessed into the rifle so you won’t accidentally drop the magazine in the middle of a fight. The mag can be dropped with either hand, making this gun one of the better ambidextrous rifles on the market.

The gun fires at about 410 FPS, but can drop to 390s depending on the power source used, and is fairly accurate at mid- rather than longer range. The adjustable hop-up will improve the long-range situation, but don’t expect laser accuracy at more than 100 feet from this gun.

You can adjust the fire rate to be either a single or three-round burst by pressing on the trigger for 10 seconds, or you can switch to a fully automatic fire mode. This can be done with either hand.

The rifle isn’t particularly long, making it maneuverable for CQB spaces and open terrain alike. In addition, the ambidextrous capabilities allow you to take different cover opportunities when using the gun with your non-dominant hand while still being able to use it properly.

Advantages & Pros

The CXP-MARS carbine has a few unique features making it a great gun to improve your existing airsoft arsenal.

The ergonomics and customization capabilities of the externals are top-notch, and I quite like how they’ve CNC treated the metal parts, giving the gun an authentic look and feel. The gun is weighty, but not overly so to impede aiming or cause discomfort during prolonged use. Overall, the gun feels very well balanced in my hand, and the added ambidextrous capabilities for mag release and fire rate adjustments mid-combat are also a bonus.

The upper receiver is elevated slightly to allow for a better CQB performance, especially if you’re wearing a bulkier mask during your airsoft fights. It looks more like a gas blowback rifle in that regard, improving ease of use and aiming without a scope.

I also like the addition of a genuine window for the mag capacity, which allows me to check the remaining BBs at a glance.

The internals are also terrific. The gearbox runs great, and you can also access it rather easily for future upgrades and modifications. The stock-provided M120 spring is also decent, but you can always upgrade it for something like a M170 if you want.

Disadvantages & Cons

However, with all the benefits this rifle brings, there are a few notable downsides.

The stock is rather small overall. While you can adjust its length to fit you regardless of height or size, it’s too narrow to fit a flat-type battery, and even a nunchuck poses a challenge. However, the carbine will accept a 11.1V lipo battery with no complaints (at least not in the stock department).

The stock 20A fuse of the rifle can break if you put a 11.1V battery and run it for a short time. Thankfully, the box contains a more powerful 30A fuse to replace it with, but you should keep that in mind regardless.

I’ve also noticed that the magazine can get wobbly over time. After a few reloads and mag changes, the mag definitely has a looser fit, with a faster wear than a rifle of this price range should have.

When it comes to performance issues, I’m slightly worried about this gun’s long-range accuracy. For anything above 70-80 feet, I’ve noticed that the accuracy takes a deep dive for the worse, which makes this gun suitable for indoor use mostly. The hop-up can adjust for this downside to make it more bearable for open field use, but don’t hope to get sniper precision out of this rifle.

Word on the Field

ICS has an excellent reputation with their higher-end product and users generally agree that this rifle is no exception. Overall, the high-quality external and internal build of the gun makes up for its shortcomings well. The good weight balance and feel also make it rather enjoyable to use for most airsoft fans that prefer authenticity.

Conclusion

The ICS ProLine CXP-MARS carbine is a great choice to improve your airsoft rifle arsenal. With its attractive CNC metal externals, ergonomic polymer grip and stock design, and excellent out of the box internals, the rifle has a great performance if you’re looking to get into more CQB.

The ambidextrous capabilities and plentiful Pic and keymod rails give this gun an edge for customization options, and the internals are likewise easy to maintain and upgrade.

If you don’t mind using lipo batteries for its narrower stock, or immediately replacing the fuse with a higher quality one, you shouldn’t have any other issues with the gun at shorter-range high-octane fights.

Overall, this gun is a fine piece of weaponry that you won’t regret buying.

The ASG HERA CQR is a replica of a real-life rifle commonly used by police forces, and it is truly an innovative piece of airsoft technology. The externals are mostly made of metal, adding to the rifle’s weight, making it a whopping seven pounds when loaded – on par with the original gun. The ergonomically designed front grip and stock are something that you will need to get used to, but I experienced only minor problems adjusting to their unusual shapes. You might not like their geometry visually, but over time, I’ve noticed that the stock helps you aim a lot better than at first glance.

The gun comes with a four-sided Picatinny rail running alongside the short barrel, with a full-length top rail. The bottom rail, by default, is outfitted with the ergonomic handle. The rifle also comes with its own sights, which are nothing to scoff at and greatly aid aiming at a longer range. It also has eight different places to mount your favorite sling.

The internals of the ASG HERA CQR are something else entirely. The gun’s base is a fully upgradable version two gearbox. In fact, this is ICS’s famous split gearbox with inline MOSFET. The gearbox is incredibly easy to disassemble for repairs or upgrades. The high-powered M120 spring system and steel bushings provide plenty of internal power but are also durable to the extreme, making the CQR a trustworthy and reliable model you can use for years.

The gun also has a few more exciting features up its sleeve. The programmable fire rate system can switch between single and three-round burst mode, alongside fully automatic fire rate support. The rifle has a self-diagnostic system that will notify you of any errors via a multitude of LED lights in the gun.

The gun can pre-cock the trigger when it powers on, making the trigger distance shorter and ensuring faster response times for the first few bullets fired. This is especially useful for competitive matches and gameplay.

Performance-wise, the ASG HERA CQR is no slacker. It is rated for 360 FPS with .2g BBs, which is slightly higher than CQB limits. However, I’ve found that the rifle settles down to 340 FPS fairly quickly, making it suitable for battles more-or-less out of the box if you’ve fired some test rounds. The gun fires at a respectable 20 rounds per second in its fully automatic mode.

Taking it out on the firing range, the CQR has no problem reaching 50, 75, and 95 feet with almost laser precision. The gun has extremely crisp gear rotation and doesn’t feel overbearing at all to use. Granted, the buttstock was slightly awkward at first, but it felt pretty comfortable after I’ve had some time to adjust. The gun is sturdy and robust, and the metal adds much-needed weight that is balanced appropriately to ensure for a good aim.

The rifle is relatively short, making it extremely maneuverable in enclosed spaces, but the shape of the buttstock and grip might be a bit awkward on your wrist while you’re not aiming with it. Overall, the ASG HERA CQR rifle is designed to excel in competitive airsoft CQB, and won’t disappoint you in the field.

The internals run flawlessly but are also very easy to reach, disassemble, clean, repair, or upgrade. The CQR is a well-built machine on its own, but if you’re experienced, you can very easily take it up a notch with a more customized internal mechanism of choice.

The gun’s performance at close range makes it perfect for CQB matches, and the trigger system and wide selection of firing modes will adapt to your needs and preferences. The pre-cocking feature gives you greater accuracy for the gun’s initial burst, giving you a much-needed edge in professional combat.

The CQR also comes with plenty of customization options between its two side Picatinny rails and full-length top rails and detachable iron sights. The addition of the self-diagnostics module can be a godsend when you’re trying to figure out why the rifle won’t fire.

Disadvantages & Cons

There are only a few cons where the ASG HERA CQR is concerned.

The main sore point was literally a sore point on the wrist when the gun was handled. While not aiming, the highly angular buttstock and grip can feel uncomfortable and you’ll need to find a perfect spot to rest the gun on. This problem doesn’t persist while aiming, so it won’t affect your actual shooting performance, but holding the gun for a long period might cause some discomfort.

The stock magazine the gun came with isn’t very high-quality. I’ve had it misfeed a few times while testing the CQR out and would honestly recommend purchasing a better replacement for the magazine. It also feels quite flimsy compared to the rest of the rifle.

The gun is rated for FPS slightly higher than the CQB limit. The initial firepower of 360 FPS will settle down to 340s relatively soon, but you need to keep in mind that you have to take the rifle for a spin before using it in close quarters.

Word on the Field

The ASG HERA CQR is rated as one of the top-notch performers in its class. Most users have replaced their other models with the CQR and are quite happy with the purchase after the initial adjustment period for the somewhat awkward stock. The gun mirrors the original, so fans of the real firearm won’t be disappointed by its visuals and plenty of references and markings on the exterior.

Conclusion

The ASG HERA CQR rifle is a high-quality CQB-rated weapon aimed at professional play. The gun’s superior external and internal build makes it a joy to use and shoot with. Plus, the robust metal parts will ensure the rifle lasts for a long time.

The gun’s top-notch performance excuses its somewhat poor magazine and an initially unwieldy stock. You will need a small amount of time to get used to the rifle’s ergonomics and to lower its FPS down to allowed levels.

Hey guys, it’s ya boi Airsoft Gun Guy out here reviewing the Elite Force / VFC Avalon Saber Gen 2 Full Metal VR16 M4 Carbine M-LOK AEG Rifle. Whew! Now that my fingers are tired just typing all of that, let’s get into the nitty gritty of one of the most accurate, snappy, and high rate of fire tactical laser beams I have had the privilege of reviewing yet.

The VFC Avalon Saber Gen 2 (rebranded under the Elite Force brand in some countries including the United States), is a whole lotta metal, and that’s one of the many things I love about this gun. Aside from the stock, flip-up sights, pistol grip and trigger housing, just about every inch of this baby is high-quality lightweight aluminum. The Avalon Saber has the externals, internals, and performance that you would expect from an AEG that’s twice the price, which makes this gun one of the best stock M4 AEGs for the price point.

Shooting & Field Test

So yes, it looks nice and feels great, but Airsoft Gun Guy, HOW DOES IT SHOOT?!?!?!?!11111

“Amazing! Exquisite! Perfect!” is a damn good description of how this beast shoots.

It shoots like a god damned unholy laser beam of death, that’s how it shoots. For our field test, I used an 11.1 LiPro battery and 0.2g BBs (I know, I know, why does everyone always use 0.2g BBs for the field test?! To shot maximum pew pew power of course). The first thing that I noticed was that there were no double-shots, dry fires, or multi-shot cycling issues which was a relief as there was a big bold sticker on the box that warned of that possibility (and a carry over from the Gen 1 Avalon Sabers). The semi-automatic trigger pull (with the lightning bolt trigger) was great. It felt good, and I really like the light yet solid lightning-bolt trigger that is a trademark of the Avalon, and it was consistent. In automatic mode, this thing was just an absolute laser beam (I know, I say that a lot, but this is for real a laser beam of an airsoft gun). With targets even 100 feet out the BBs fired straight as an arrow with 0.2, 0.25, and 0.28g BBs in a tight grouping. I’d like to think I’m a great shot, but this gun definitely helped me out. The rate of fire was outstanding. The VFC Avalon Saber Gen 2 is just hands down one of the best airsoft guns in terms of shooting I’ve ever seen.

Now we’ll get into the play-by-play of the gun analysis.

Internals

The internals of the Avalon Saber Gen 2 are outstanding. Integrated MOSFET, high-torque neo-magnet motor, quick-change spring, 8mm bearing bushings, and a VFC ECS mechbox that looks like it came out of the future. See for yourself:

There is a mock bolt-catch for the rotary-style hop-up which feels realistic and badass to use. The internals for this gun are extremely impressive for a stock, base gun. Despite the occasional flakiness of VFC’s QC, the internals are definitely an area you have absolutely nothing to worry about. They’ve got you covered for the “high-tech, high-quality internals for a stock gun” department. I wouldn’t even upgrade any of the internals (except maybe a custom MOSFET, but it really doesn’t need it). Everything inside the VFC Avalon Saber Gen 2 is on point, stock.

Externals

The Saber series, just like the first gen VFC Avalon Sabers, use M-LOK rails., which make for a versatile and lightweight rail system and have plenty of rail space. Everything on the VFC Avalon Saber Gen 2 that is able to be fully metal is fully metal, mostly with high-quality lightweight aluminum.

The rifle has plastic flip-up sights, adjustable apertures in the back, and height adjustment in the front. The receiver is nice, solid, and lightweight like the rest of the gun, with a badass Avalon logo on the side, which reminds me a bit of the Wu-Tang logo.

The trigger guard is made of polymer with a QRS trigger rest, one of the small touches that increase the comfort and quality of life on VFC’s Avalon masterpiece. I never knew how much I needed a trigger rest until I had a trigger rest. It really takes the strain out of your trigger finger (if you have your finger off the trigger until you shoot like you’re supposed to, like I do).

The QRS 120-round mid-cap waffle textured magazines look and feel awesome. The pistol grip is also QRS with a solid bottom and allen screw slot for adjustment.

I have a few small complaints about the externals. And then a few cons that I was a little more concerned about.

I don’t like the ambidextrous magazine release. It’s too far away from the trigger and trigger guard. This wasn’t an issue for me as I have really long fingers, but I kept feeling like I was going to miss it when I reached it. The ambidextrous mag release is a strange circular button shape which I didn’t like. The magazines also don’t fall out of the mag housing when the mag release is pushed, which when you get used to it is probably a good thing, but I was not used to it. It’s nice to not have to worry about going back to find your mags after you’re tagged or after the game is over, but it threw me for a loop.

The Gen 2 VFC Avalon Sabers have a lot of the potential quality control (QC) issues that VFC claimed would not be a problem in the Gen 2’s that carried over from the Gen 1’s. The first and most glaring is the potential for gaps between the upper and lower receivers. The gun I used for fire testing did not have this issue, but I have heard this complaint from 3 or 4 other players that own this airsoft rifle. This can add a bit of play to the gun (which is a no-no for this price, and if your rifle does have this gap, you should return it immediately).

My biggest issue with the gun was the play in the stock. For a gun that costs somewhere in the mid-to-high 300s, there should be no play in the stock, at all, ever. I had to add a piece of Velcro where the stock meets the receiver. This is either not a QC issue because it happens so frequently, or it is and they just don’t check for this issue in the QC process. This is my single biggest gripe with the gun, and although it’s a quick and easy fix, it shouldn’t need to be done.

Conclusion

The VFC Avalon Saber Generation 2 model is an accurate, lightweight, snappy gun that shoots like a laser beam, out of the box. It’s incredibly accurate and incredibly powerful, and if you’re upgrading from something like a G&G, KWA, a CYMA, or an Amoeba, you’re going to immediately see your game and accuracy rise to a new level. And that’s the main reason why we spend money on airsoft guns, right? The internals look like they have been upgraded before you even received the gun, but those are just quality VFC Avalon internals for you.

The externals are also on point, feature-wise and construction wise. The rifle is 99% fully metal aluminum. But there is also the potential for a gap and play between the upper and lower receiver, and a nearly guaranteed chance of a gap between your stock and receiver.

The internals look too good for a gun of this price. The shooting is god-like. The externals are great, but also have the potential for play and gaps that should not exist on a gun of this price. If you are looking for a gun upgrade, and you want a rifle that is deadly accurate and doesn’t need any upgrade for its internals, and you’re willing to chance the possible QC issues like gaps between upper and lower receivers or between receiver and stock, then buy this rifle yesterday. If the possible QC issues do bother you, and you want a gun that “just works” and you don’t want to have to fix anything yourself or potentially have to send the rifle back in, then maybe something like a Krytac Trident MK2 or an ASG CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1 are more your cup of tea.

The ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 is one of those guns that is nearly universally loved by experienced players, both indoor and outdoor players alike. With nearly every dollar of the gun’s price tag put

into performance, and features, complete with ASCU MOSFET, ASHU no-dryfire hop-up, and ambidextrous fire mod switch, this rifle is just a beast. I asked an indoor player about the cons of this gun recently. His response was, “what cons?”

Let’s get one thing out of the way though: The ASG CZ Scorpion Evo is not known for its looks – it isn’t a gorgeous gun. But there is not a single airsoft player I have met that doesn’t respect this rifle. Players buy this gun to perform, not to look flashy, and it is clear that ASG put the money that would have gone into looks and put it into the rifle’s power and internals. Ask any experienced airsoft player about the Scorpion Evo 3 A1 and they will tell you it’s a sleeper gun, especially when the internals, scope, and magazines have been modified.

About the EVO 3

The ASG CZ Scorpion is a lethal, accurate, godly, high-power in a small-package, kick-ass gun. Players have hit snipers with this gun, and the Scorpion EVO 3 A1 is technically an SMG. It’s unique and unmistakable on the field. Players love it because it’s a no-frills, failsafe rifle that will hit what you’re aiming at, indoor or outdoor. It’s durable and it’s reliable, and the Scorpion EVO’s trigger response and ability for snap aiming make it devastating when placed in the right hands.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

The ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 features an ASCU MOSFET system, which stabilizes your rate of fire and preserves the contacts inside the rifle. When combined with the ASHU (Airsoft Systems Hop-Up), it is nearly impossible to get this gun to dry-fire, and the rate of fire couldn’t be smoother and more consistent. The gun is very similar to its firearm equivalent with the bolt stop function, weight, and lack of dry firing. The gun also features ambidextrous fire mode controls and a magazine ejection that is quick and easy. The EVO Scorpion feels well-balanced with a build that is study but not too heavy, making it maneuverable for CQB play.

No products found.

Disadvantages

There’s not many cons in this gun. In fact, we really had to reach for our “cons” section for the ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1.

The ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 AEG has a lot of proprietary parts. The body, gearbox shell, and magazine are unique, meaning that the gun is not Tokyo Marui compatible and it will require ASG Scorpion EVO replacement parts. Some players have complained about the battery space being relatively small and cramped, while other players roll their eyes when they hear this complaint.

As we said before, the gun is not flashy or sleek, although this is a matter of opinion. It is not Krytac KRISS Vector, but a lot of players prefer it that way (and prefer the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 altogether).

The magazine capacities are somewhat low at 75 rounds, but these can be upgraded to high-cap 375 round magazines that cost about $38 each.

Conclusion

If you have a $400 budget for an airsoft gun, and prefer performance over prettiness, get this gun, like, yesterday. Never before in my airsoft experience have I seen a gun that is so universally respected across the sport and industry. This gun is godly and will not fail you. It will hit what you aim at, won’t break, won’t lock up, and won’t dry fire. There are not many airsoft guns that can say as much.

Seriously, if you can afford it, get this gun. If you don’t believe us, head over to reddit.com/r/airsoft and you will see ranting and raving about this gun in a subreddit that rarely agrees on anything.

At the local indoor airsoft [field?] I play at, which has a lot of casual players and younger players with lower budgets, the G&G M4 Combat Machine 16 Raider is one of the most commonly used, and in demand, rifles on the field. I constantly hear other players asking if I’d be interested in selling my CM16 Raider or if I know where to get one like it. I use the CQB version of the rifle myself as it is a smaller field, and I also like to get up close and personal behind enemy lines. I find the CQB Raider perfect for maneuvering around barricades and cover. It’s lightweight design and CQB size allows for easy snap-aiming and hip fire when necessary.

The G&G M4 CM16 Raider stock version isn’t a lot different from the CQB version, but as opposed to the CQB version, it is designed for outdoor matches and MilSims, and it truly excels at it. The stock CM16 Raider has a slightly longer barrel and flash hider and has a very slight increase in muzzle velocity.

About the CM16

You will not find a better value rifle or a better starter investment on the field. For around $150 USD, the G&G Combat Machine 16 Raider is extremely durable, can take a good amount of abuse, and despite it all it is a light weapon at just over 5 pounds. It is customizable, Tokyo Marui compatible, and as an M4, you will find plenty of upgrade and replacement parts for it available. It even has a 450 round high capacity magazine, and takes a 9.6V Nunchuck battery that lasts a lot longer than you expect it to, another tally in the “pro” column for newer players. As you get more involved in the sport, you will find that the upgrades and mods you need will be easy installations on the CM16 Raider. If you are looking for a starter rifle or a higher-tier, lower-budget rifle, this is it.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

The G&G M4 Combat Machine 16 Raider has good, metal internals and a version 2.0 gearbox. It is ergonomic, agile, and lightweight. It features an adjustable hop-up, so that you can tweak the backspin on your BBs as you get more acquainted and confident with your rifle.

The CM16 features an 8-inch M-LOK handguard that allows you to adjust the position of the rail segments and iron sights. The iron sightsalso easily flip up and down as you get closer to your target, or want to protect your rails and sights when transporting the gun. Another thing that is great about the CM16 Raider for starter players is how easy it is to adjust, tweak, and calibrate quickly or even on the fly. The crane stock is fully adjustable.

Disassembly of the gun is incredibly easy, another huge tally for the pro column for players who are new to the game. Cleaning, maintenance, and upgrading the rifle are also downright simple.

No products found.

Disadvantages

There aren’t a lot of cons for this rifle. The one major downside to the CM16 Raider is that because it is so popular, it can be very difficult to find. You will find that, when you do find it in stock online, there will be little to no reviews for that particular seller or version of the rifle. This is because if people had found it and reviewed it, it would fly off the shelves.

While the magazine loading is ambidextrous, the firing mode and safety selector are not if you are a lefty. The front triangle sight is fixed to the outer barrel, which is one of the few components of the rifle that is not easily adjusted or swapped out.

The barrel, hop-up and hop rubber could stand to be upgraded; any rifle at this price range has to save money on at least a few areas. If you are considering upgrades or mods in the future to optimize performance, consider replacing these parts.

On-Field Complaints

Here are a few of the small complaints I have heard about the CM16 Raider on the field. While some players don’t have a problem, others say the front sling adapter is somewhat weak, compared to the durability and ruggedness of the rest of the rifle. While most players have no problem buying new magazines or switching out mags with other guns, despite being TM-compatible, some have complained that the CM16 rifle doesn’t easily swap out magazines with other rifles, especially mid-capacity magazines. There have been some complaints that the gun did not fire out of the box, or that it wasn’t properly lubricated, resulting in misfires, dry fires, and ammo loading issues (consider purchasing silicone lubricant with the rifle). A few other players have mentioned that the paint comes off with heavy use. I’ve also hears of problems with the battery cables getting caught when collapsing or extending the stock, as the battery is a little awkwardly placed.

The most common complaint I have heard, and usually from players that “didn’t read the description,” is that the battery was not included, which is also pretty common with AEGs, so make sure you are purchasing a battery and recharging kit with the CM16 Raider. We recommend 9.6V Nunchuck batteries – 8.4V batteries should also suffice – and a smart charger to avoid overcharging.

Conclusion

If it isn’t obvious, overall, we highly recommend this rifle for starter players or players on a budget. You will find that most of the internet will agree with you (just try searching Google for this rifle, and the “out of stock” and 4- and 5-star reviews will confirm this). Fortunately, AGG always keeps an eye on the stock of our airsoft partners, and we will always do our best to refer you to a retailer that has the CM16 Raider ready to deliver to you!

Summary

This rifle has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a Krytac: a digital trigger and fire selector thanks to the digital MOSFET technology; a dual aperture on the rear sight and folding/lock-in stock, both of which make this gun ideal for both long-range and CQB firefights, a numbered hop-up dial, easily swappable rails – we could go on and on, and will, later in the article. The one thing you will find when you use this rifle for the first time, is that everything just feels right. While the Kriss Vector has a futuristic design, when you lock and load this gun, everything clicks and falls into place like it should. There are only a few cons to this rifle: its price (at $450 USD, it is not cheap), and its small battery compartment located in the pistol grip. However, you get what you pay for, and when you use the Krytac Kriss Vector, you feel like you got your money’s worth.

Krytac is the new kid on the airsoft block, and they do not disappoint. Their LVOA and Trident guns were both well-received by the industry. The Krytac Kriss Vector has been hyped up and awaited by the airsoft community for a long time. Part of the attraction and charm of the Krytac Kriss Vector is that it is actually made by Kriss, the manufacturer of the actual Vector. That’s right – Krytac is the simulation division of Kriss, and Kriss makes the futuristic, space-age looking gun that is featured in so many video games. Tom Clancy’s line of video games was a particular fan of the Kriss Vector, featuring it in just about all of its games – from Splinter Cell to The Division to Rainbow Six Siege. Even Call of Duty has featured this gun in their games.
Just like the actual Vector, the gun has the exact dimensions as its firearm counterpart, and just 100 grams short of the real Vector’s 2.7kg weight.

So, let’s get off the hype train, and down to brass tacks.

About the Vector

Krytac’s Kriss Vector is equipped with digital MOSFET and an all-custom, ambidextrous 8mm mechbox. The rifle features a battery disconnect, disconnecting the battery from the digital MOSFET when the safety is switched on. The hop-up is built with a rotary, numbered switch. The battery is located in the pistol grip, which is cramped, and Krytac says it will take up to a 11.1 LiPo battery that is 116m or less, but we had to order a shorter custom 11.1 LiPo battery to fit for the chronograph.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

You will see why this gun carries a $450 price tag when you see the externals. The rifle’s aesthetics are absolutely gorgeous. This airsoft gun feels amazing in your hands. It feels powerful. The pistol grip feels amazing, with etched lines on the front and back, and rubber grips on the sides. Every external piece on this gun – from the stock to the fire selector – lock into place with a satisfying click.

The Vector is mostly polymer with all-metal hardware. Despite being made with polymer, the gun feels solid and well-made with no “play”. It comes with upper rails and lower rails attached, with a side rail panel included. The magazines are SMG mags, so they won’t fit into typical mag pouches but should fit into pistol pouches. They are pointed and click and lock into place when loaded. The mags feel good and natural to load, but a little awkward to eject. We’ll get into more of that later in the CONS section. The fire selector is easy to switch, and is separate from the safety switch, witch is a little harder to switch on and off, as the safety actually connects to the spring and de-cocks the gun.

PERFORMANCE

Here is where the Vector really shines. The Vector is so intuitive and well-made that it feels like a natural extension of your arm. With the Vector in fully automatic mode, you feel unstoppable with this PDW, and I couldn’t shake feeling like a special forces soldier with this gun. Shooting targets on semi-automatic was effortless, and incredibly consistent, and I felt like a marksman shooting this baby. The fact that Krytac’s Vector looks and feels identical to the Kriss Vector firearm doesn’t hurt.

When placed on the chronograph, the Vector shoots at 17RPS and 420FPS with a shorter 11.1v LiPo battery. The iron sights, like everything else with the Vector, are surprisingly intuitive, and you will notice that you don’t need to hunch when lining up your shot. The trigger feels good, but with the MOSFET and the 2-round burst, we did notice a few half-pulls.

No products found.

Disadvantages

While Krytac’s Kriss Vector is a pleasure to hold and a dream to shoot, it does come with its drawbacks. One of the biggest is the price tag.

The battery is located inside the pistol grip, so the battery space is cramped.

The biggest gripe we have is with the magazines. The magazines feel a little cheap compared to the rest of this airsoft gun, and the magazine release is a little awkward – you may find yourself fumbling the magazine the first few times. The magazines are long compared to the rest of the rifle, and will require SMG pouches to fit them, although this is somewhat of a given as the gun is in fact a submachine gun model.

The trigger, despite being electronic, is hard to pull. After playing for a few hours, your trigger finger will get sore and tired.

The sling point is also awkwardly placed on the bottom of the stock. When we were carrying it to the field, we found the gun flopping upside down.

Krytac’s Kriss Vector is a great and beautiful looking gun, but for the $450 USD price tag, you’re basically paying an extra $100-150 for the aesthetics. You could buy an ASG CZ Scorpion EVO, a similar gun with similar performance (but aesthetics that are not pretty), for $100+ less, or you could buy a lower end M4 such as the G&G M4 Combat Machine Raider 16 and upgrade it to the nines for the same price.

Conclusion

Despite the price tag, we will say, if you have the money to spend on this gem, you will absolutely not regret it. It just looks and feels right, and when you hold this gun and see the externals and aesthetics, you will immediately understand why it costs what it does. There are not a lot of guns out there that look identical to their firearm counterparts; much less that are actually manufactured by their firearm counterpart manufacturers. This baby is fully licensed and authorized by Kriss. They have a proven track record for their firearms, especially for the Vector, so if anyone knows how to make a Vector, it’s Krytac. If you want to feel the power of this gun in your hands, the performance that comes with it, and the consistency of the Krytac, and have the budget to buy it, walk, don’t run, to your computer or phone and purchase it ASAP.
