Best Airsoft Guns Under $150

Airsoft guns are designed to be realistic copies of firearms used by armed forces and civilians worldwide. However, this authenticity can lead to higher prices. Nevertheless, you can still find airsoft models that don’t hit your finances hard. These guns may not be the top of the line, but you can trust them to get the job done in an airsoft battle since their manufacturers are all industry leaders.

While premium airsoft guns are far better than cheaper weapons, some of their advantages won’t be useful for everyone. Beginner airsoft players and casual fans don’t need customizable gearboxes or electronics. You just need a dependable weapon to learn the basics of the sport and get used to handing a basic replica.

Below are some of the best airsoft guns under $150, all carefully selected from many excellent product lines. We’ll start with some handguns before working up to longer-range weapons. There’s an airsoft gun for every range on this list. So, we have you covered no matter if you want a primary gun or a sidearm. Read on for all the details.

WE-Tech Hi-Capa 5.1 “Dragon” Full Auto Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol, Black

WE-Tech’s Hi-Capa 5.1 series is a line replicating a full-sized modern 1911 pistol. This Dragon model boasts a split slide and fires in full auto. Fans will love the chance to unleash a nasty surprise on their opponents.

Split slides are designed to reduce slide travel time, allowing for a faster firing rate. The rear slide on the Dragon also has two rows of curved serrations. They’re not just for show, as you’ll find racking the slide easier than on other models.

Mounting attachments to the bottom rail is also possible, though they’re sold separately.

Any airsoft fan looking for a dependable sidearm based on a century-old design can find it in this WE Tech handgun. It also boasts multiple safety features found on actual firearms, promoting responsible weapons handling.

Specifications:

  • 320-330 FPS using 0.20g BBs
  • 30-round magazine
  • Skeletonized trigger
  • Adjustable hop-up
  • Split slide design for a faster firing rate
  • Semi-auto and full-auto firing modes

VFC Glock G19X Co2 (HALF) Blowback Airsoft Pistol, Tan

VFC is one of Umarex’s brands, and the latter company has managed to get design licenses from actual firearm companies. With this permission, VFC can produce licensed copies of weapons that highly resemble the real thing. This Glock G19X is almost the same as the original apart from internal components and the orange tip.

The slide and magazine are both made of steel, just like a genuine Glock. The steel keeps all the working parts safe from harm. In addition, the weapon weighs almost the same as its real firearm counterpart.

At the bottom of the frame is a standard pistol Picatinny rail. It’s compatible with many real-life accessories, along with airsoft ones.

The trigger has also been improved from older VFC Glock copies. It’s now much smoother and allows you to fire as quickly as possible.

Specifications:

  • 300 FPS using 0.20g BBs
  • 24-round magazine
  • Glock trigger safety
  • Adjustable hop-up
  • Fully licensed by Glock
  • Semi-auto only

JG M4 SOPMOD AEG RIS Airsoft Rifle

The Hong Kong-based JG company makes some affordable yet high-quality airsoft guns for all levels. This M4 SOPMOD AEG is geared towards beginners and above, but even pros can appreciate what it comes with. Compared to M4 SOPMOD replicas from other makers, it can definitely hold its own.

This rifle comes with many tactical features, such as the quad RIS handguard and an upper receiver Picatinny rail. These rails will accept the most common accessories, such as red dot sights, foregrips, and laser sights. The possibilities for attachments are limitless.

A six-position crane stock comes attached to the rear, though the design is different from a standard M4 stock. It still works the same way, allowing users of all sizes to shoulder the rifle comfortably.

The weapon works with most M4 magazines, making shopping and resupplying easier.

Specifications:

  • 380-400 FPS using 0.20g BBs
  • 300-round magazine
  • Quad RIS
  • Adjustable hop-up
  • 9.6V battery and charger included
  • Full-auto, semi-auto, and safe modes

Double Eagle M59P Airsoft Sniper Rifle w/ Scope and Bipod

If an assault job isn’t your favorite one, you can always give sniping a try. This Double Eagle M59P is an affordable sniper rifle that can help beginners learn the basics of bolt-action marksmanship. It has everything you need for the role, too.

The weapon is based on the Accuracy International L96, a sniper rifle used by many armed forces worldwide. It has an adjustable stock and cheek pad to create the perfect shouldering experience. When coupled with the bipod and scope, you’ll be able to hit targets far away.

Sniper rifles are heavier for increased accuracy, though this M59P has sling mounts that make moving easier. Repositioning is a crucial part of sniping, as staying put for too long after firing lets enemies find you quickly.

Specifications:

  • 380 FPS using 0.20g BBs
  • 30-round magazine
  • Included scope and removable bipod
  • Adjustable stock
  • Sling mounts and sling included
  • Safe and fire modes

FN Herstal P90 Airsoft Gun AEG

Made by Cybergun, this FN Herstal P90 AEG is a faithful copy of the famous Personal Defense Weapon that changed the era of submachine guns. Licensed from FN Herstal, you can see that the markings are close to what you’ll find on the original weapon.

Unlike the original P90, this copy refers to a modernized variant, which replaces the built-in scope with a Picatinny rail. You can now mount the red dot sight of your choice or scope with some magnification. There are also two mini side rails that accept flashlights or laser sights.

As a PDW, the P90 is a compact weapon that you can rely on for CQC engagements. It can still hit mid-range targets, particularly with proper optics.

Specifications:

  • 390 FPS using 0.20g BBs
  • 30-round magazine
  • Triple rail setup
  • Compact design
  • 9.6V NiMH battery and charger included
  • Fully licensed by FN Herstal
  • Semi-auto, full-auto, and safe modes

Affordable and Combat Ready

These products show that you don’t need to spend more than $300 on an airsoft gun just to participate in war games. These weapons cost half that price and still manage to impress seasoned airsoft players. Fancy features are nice to have, but not everyone will need them.

Beginners and mid-level airsoft players are better off training with affordable weapons first, as it lets them get used to the basic functions of airsoft guns. By deepening their understanding of the sport and equipment, they can branch out to specialized weapons later.

For example, the JG M4 SOPMOD is a weapon practically any airsoft player will know how to use. The M4 is a widespread design, and magazines are readily available. Premium M4s aren’t too different from it either, and they let you experiment with various setups before acquiring advanced models.

Even if you’re an airsoft expert, you could still find a good use for these airsoft guns. Your primary weapon or sidearm may malfunction one day and having a backup will keep you in the action. These weapons shouldn’t be too expensive, and you’ll find the choices above solid.

There are many other excellent weapons in this price range out there, but we couldn’t possibly include them all. But if you’re just getting used to the sport, these five should satisfy the majority of new players.
